AI / ML Engineer

As a mid-level AI/ML Engineer at Genyx Labs, you will own end-to-end delivery of AI features — from framing the problem with a client stakeholder, through data preparation and modelling, to deploying reliable inference services. You will work alongside senior engineers, product managers and domain experts on projects spanning generative AI copilots, computer vision, NLP and predictive analytics. This is a hands-on role where clean engineering matters as much as model quality.

• Build, fine-tune and evaluate ML and LLM models (classification, retrieval, RAG, agents) against clearly defined business KPIs.
• Own data pipelines: ingestion, cleaning, labelling workflows, feature engineering and versioning.
• Ship models to production as APIs or batch jobs, with monitoring, drift detection and rollback strategy in place.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to integrate AI capabilities into client applications.
• Write clear technical documentation and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience building ML, deep learning or LLM-based systems in production.
• Strong Python skills with PyTorch or TensorFlow, and comfort with the modern LLM stack (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain / LlamaIndex).
• Solid grasp of ML fundamentals: evaluation, bias/variance, prompt engineering, embeddings and vector search.
• Experience deploying services with Docker and at least one cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Clear written English and the ability to explain trade-offs to product and client teams.

• Experience with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Weights & Biases, Kubeflow).
• Prior work on RAG pipelines, agent frameworks or multimodal models.
